The Culver’s Cove Series

By D. M. Glover

This four-book series introduces Heath Hampton, a fledgling sorcerer whose destiny is tied to a celestial disaster and a powerful family curse. Heath must protect his maternal line, the Howards, from an ancient evil, but the true stakes lie in the past. His ancestor, Georg Pawer, cast a spell so devastating it sent his planet, Theia, hurtling into Earth, creating the Moon we know today (The Theia Hypothesis). The cataclysm shattered Georg’s magical staff, scattering its gemstones across time. Heath’s mission: find them all to break the curse. As he leaps through the eras, he not only gains strength but also uncovers profound historical truths. Readers will follow Heath’s journey of growth and be treated to subtle, enriching lessons woven into the fabric of the high-stakes magic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book for All Ages! Even as a parent of two teenagers, I thoroughly enjoyed this book while following Heath and Hadden through their adventure. The accurate historical references coupled with the comedy between the two brothers and with historical figures made this an easy read. I didn’t realize the Freedom Tower was 1,776 feet tall, so I learned a few things too! I am looking forward to Heath and Hadden’s next adventure!

5.0 out of 5 stars Genius way to teach American history to kids A wholesome story about brothers who explore a time we’ve all learned about, but never from this perspective. At least, not that I have found as an avid history reader. Bringing to life American history from the eyes of young and curious kids. I homeschool my 9 year old and had been looking for a book to help him learn about history and came across this one. Best choice ever! I read it first to make sure it taught something and I was pleased to find it full of lessons. I even fact checked some things I learned from the book. This book takes you on a captivating journey you don’t even know you’re on before an important character is revealed. The story then catapults you into a fun filled story blended with magic and American history. Genius. Can’t wait for more books!
